Event Planning & Styling

Alongside One Mimosa Please, Alexandra also leads One Martini Please, a planning and styling studio producing weddings and celebrations around the world.

For many of our couples, the journey begins with paper and naturally evolves into something more. From the first invitation through to the atmosphere of the celebration itself, stationery and event design often unfold together, allowing every detail to feel connected and considered.

Many of our clients choose to work with both studios, shaping the creative direction of their celebration from the very beginning.

A Selection of Celebrations

NICOLE & WILLIAM

With Nicole’s background in textile design, the celebration was led by materiality and craft. Fabric bouquets replaced traditional florals, lace-embroidered invitations took the place of paper, and Nicole walked a custom pink aisle with a hand-dyed cathedral veil flowing alongside.

Set within an Italian-inspired château in regional Victoria, Aperitivo Hour unfolded poolside as a vintage plane passed overhead bearing ‘The Arthursons’. A floating floral installation, pressed-citrus cocktails dressed in crocheted glass slippers, and a hand-stitched heart-shaped photo wall defined the atmosphere.

JAIMIE & MICHAEL

We slipped away to Mona for Jaimie and Michael’s vows — a quiet pause held among the pines. Set against the stillness of the landscape, the ceremony unfolded with simplicity and intention, allowing the moment to feel personal and unguarded. What followed was a three-day celebration shaped by contrast: intimacy and scale, reflection and release, art and gathering. Each chapter was considered in pace and tone, creating a wedding that felt both deeply private and expansively lived.

With complete creative freedom across planning and styling, Alex and Jye’s wedding was shaped by mood rather than convention. French bistro influences, warm textures, and considered details set the tone for a celebration that felt effortless and lived-in.

Love Notes

“Working with One Martini Please was the single best decision we made throughout our entire wedding planning process.”

From the very beginning, they understood our vision in a way no one else did. Every detail felt intentional, refined and completely us. But what truly sets Alexandra and her team apart is what happens when things don’t go to plan — and trust us, they didn’t.

On the morning of our wedding, we were devastated. The flowers that arrived were nothing like what we had envisioned, and our cake was completely wrong in both design and finish. In what could have been a stressful and emotional start to the day, Alexandra stepped in with total calm authority. Within hours, the florals were reworked, restructured and transformed into something we genuinely loved. The cake was redesigned and restyled on the spot. It felt like watching magicians at work.

We never saw the panic. We never felt the pressure. We were simply protected from it. What could have been a disaster became one of the most seamless, beautiful days of our lives — because the team refused to let anything compromise the standard we had dreamed of.

One Martini Please doesn’t just plan weddings. They safeguard them. They advocate for you. They go above and beyond in ways you don’t even realise you’ll need. We felt completely supported, fiercely looked after, and able to be fully present on our day — and that is priceless
